Asalaamu alaykum all,

At the most recent Friday prayer, we spoke about the importance of service to humanity. I want to highlight one example
of Muslims making an amazing contribution. It’s a place called the UMMA Clinic in California. Please take the time to
watch the YouTube video below and visit the website. Insha’allah it will motivate all of us to do more for others.

The people of Pax Christi are not alone. Especially since 9/11, non-Muslims have fasted to express political solidarity with Muslims, to increase awareness of global hunger, as a spiritual discipline, or to strengthen interfaith friendship.

very purpose of our creation - ‘uboodiyah, engaging in devoted acts of
worship. Let Ramadan be a time where we reaffirm our faith by seeking
forgiveness and reflecting on the recent events in our lives, on our
campuses and around the world.
