*SOVO Fair: To those who dropped by last Friday, thank you! We hope you received good information. If you have any questions or concerns, please drop us an email: vcumsa@gmail.com.
*ROOTS: Masha’Allah, we have a new program this semester, called ROOTS. It will be a two-hour long event, with one hour for educational student-led discussion, and one hour for social activities and games. We are looking for both undergraduate & graduate students to lead discussions and present for about 15 minutes on an Islamic topic. If you are interested, please email Sr. Daud (daudrs@vcu.edu). Insha’Allah, our first meeting will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Commons Theater. Hope to see you there!

Here’s an intersession update about ROOTs!  Next semester the MSA will be introducing ROOTs brought to you by the Social & Education Committee. One hour education, one hour social activities and games. We are looking for students (BOTH GRADUATE & UNDERGRAD) to lead the first half of ROOTs which will be a student led halaqa/discussion. Your presentation only needs to be about 15 minutes long and should relate to Islam/Muslim youth. So if you’re interested please email Ruqayyah Daud @ daudrs@vcu.edu or Mariam Owais @ owaism@vcu.edu!

SPIRIT NIGHT!
  MSA invites you to their first ever SPIRIT NIGHT! This Thursday Nov. 17, in the Commonwealth Ballrooms A & B at 7:30-9:00 p.m. Come out and have fun with your fellow MSA-ers, and get a chance to meet new people!.There will be fun and food and games! The costume theme this semester is futuristic, so girls, we’d love for you to come show off the trends of the future! If you can’t/rather not dress futuristically, Sisters Social is THE night for sisters to dress up nicely anyway and have a great time.
For those who have never been to a Sisters Social, it’s a time for girls to pull out some of their nicest outfits from the closet and party!
